Pet Jeweller is the creation of Cathy Hawkes. Her
background is in art and design.
Whilst looking for pet ID tags she found it next to impossible to find individual and original ID tags for her own dogs. She then decided to start using her skills to design pet ID tags for the more sartorially discerning pet.
Cathy completed an Art Foundation course in 1989 and she went on to study fashion for four years. Following this she designed and made costume for the London Fringe theatre circuit and dance companies. Whilst living in London, she studied on a Silversmithing course which gave her the metal working skills you see here. It was only on moving to Yorkshire 5 years later that she started to make jewellery for friends, family and finally, her pets.
Cathy lives in West Yorkshire with her wonderful husband John, and her inspiration - two dogs -
Tootsie Malone and Frenchie Brennan.
